Grandview-Woodland Community Plan released today
This week the City released the Grandview-Woodland Community Plan which lays out how the neighbourhood will grow in the coming years. At the heart of the plan is a focus on preserving the unique vibe of Commercial Drive, and providing space for families and local businesses.
The plan will protect existing rental housing in the neighbourhood, while adding 7,000 new homes for young people and families. Community space is included throughout, with improvements for nine parks and up to five public plazas, a renewal for Britannia Community Centre, as well as the creation of 430 new childcare spaces.
The City wants your feedback on the Grandview-Woodland plan! Visitvancouver.ca/grandviewwoodland, and join City staff at an open house or coffee talk to share your thoughts. An online survey will also be available for your feedback until July 21st.
