EXPLORE  Canada's Arctic:                                                                                                                                                  It lies in the world’s smallest ocean, the Arctic Ocean, and is home to one of the largest archipelagos in the world. It’s also home to belugas, one of the animals well-adapted to living with ice. Come visit one of the Aquarium’s most amazing and engaging exhibits about the natural landscape, animals and people who inhabit the Canadian Arctic. BIKE TO THE AQUARIUM AND GET VIP TREATMENT                                                                                              

The Aquarium is offering a free bicycle valet service to visitors on July 2, 3 and 4. Simply bring your bike to the grassy area by the Admissions plaza (behind the outdoor washrooms) and they will valet park your bike for you. This service is offered to guests free of charge and is security patrolled to ensure your visit to the Aquarium is a memorable one. Just one more way they are rewarding  visitors who make an effort to reduce their carbon footprint. See


CELEBRATE VANCOUVER 125 AND THE AQUARIUM                                                                                             

 The Vancouver Aquarium is ready to welcome many guests during Vancouver 125 Summer Live in Stanley Park on July 8, 9, and 10 to celebrate the city’s 125th anniversary. Special festivities include Tropitonics steel drum band, kids entertainment, and mascot Bee Bop for the whole family to enjoy. Vancouver 125 Summer Live will feature a diverse showcase of arts and culture with free performances by top Vancouver and international artists, as well as some First Nations. The Vancouver Aquarium encourages all guests to travel green to Stanley Park with a free shuttle service from Waterfront Station.

The Vancouver Aquarium recently welcomed a new addition to the Graham Amazon Gallery. On April 16, 2011, our female Goeldi’s monkey gave birth to a healthy male. Now we are seeking your help to find a name for our newest addition. Their website contest, running throughout the month of July, asks you to submit a name best suited for the newborn. They will announce the winner on August 1, the grand prize being a family pass admission and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Vancouver Aquarium! To submit your entry, go to
