Beiber's Brazilian fans include drug lords and the usual screaming girls

Canadian pop overlord Justin Bieber is gearing up to go to be in Brazil next month, and fans are already excited to see him live in concert. After one stop in Mexico City, he will be performing to screaming Beliebers in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Porto Alegre, then head off to neighbouring Argentina for two concerts.

While in Brazil, Bieber may see surprised to see some scary-looking male fans scattered among the usual crowd of teenage girls.

Reports say Brazilian police and army troops stormed through the Complexo do Alemao slum of Rio de Janeiro last November. In addition to 11 tons of marijuana, wide-screen TVs, assault rifles and a missile, police stumbled upon a giant painting of Justin Bieber in the home of a feared gang leader. An adjascent wall was  plastered with posters of the teen hearthrob.

The home's owner, Pezao, was known as one of Brazil's most notorious drug lords -- even he was not immune to Bieber's charm. Although Pezao won't be attending his idol's concert, other gang leaders might be spotted in the front row seats at the highly-anticipated Bieber concerts.
