Squamish Valley Music Festival delivers top-notch music and beautiful mountain landscapes
If you were lucky enough to attend this years Squamish Valley Music Festival this weekend, you were treated to a fantastic lineup, food trucks galore, sunshine, topped off with breathtaking mountain views.
Performances from the likes of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Vampire Weekend, Queens of the Stone Age, Gorgol Bordello, and Pretty Lights to name a few. In addition it featured some amazing local talent coming out of BC such as the Indie rockers: Yukon Blonde, the soulful and energetic: The Ballantynes, Vancouver's Electro Dance duo: Bear Mountain, and Juno Award winners Dan Mangan and Said the Whale.
The three-day festival seemed to go off without a hitch. This year, the organizers and volunteers did an impressive job providing festival goers all the comforts of home.
"Never have I attended a festival where the campground grass was lush and green, the air so fresh, and having access to hot showers," said festival goer Joe Mendes, from Vancouver, repeating for emphasis: "hot showers!"
"Something was definitely in the air this past weekend, and we're counting down the days til Squamish 2014."
