Canadians have made some big strides forward in the fight for the open and affordable Internet. This week, the CRTC, in an effort to become a more transparent entity, began proceedings to determine what information from Canada's telecommunications companies, should and should not be considered classified information. Additionally, the CRTC has launched a Broadcast Participation Fund, which will allow the public to be a more prominent part of media discourse in the future.
