24 top Vancouver restaurants band together to support Mealshare and stop youth hunger
24 of Vancouver’s top restaurants (full list below) are implementing the local social enterprise program, Mealshare, on July 5th to fight youth hunger.
These new restaurants will be joining the likes of Café Medina, Fable, Tuc Craft Kitchen, Pidgin, and all the Tap and Barrel locations (just to name a few) as Mealshare partners.
This expansion launch of 24 restaurants is the biggest launch Mealshare has ever done, and will make Vancouver the city with the most Mealshare partners in Canada (60 partners).
This has been an explosive year for Mealshare; other updates include:
Expanding to Ottawa on June 14th

“The amount of support and adoption we’ve had in Vancouver in 2016 has been amazing! Mealshare is starting to be considered the social trustmark on menus across Canada. Consumers continue to want to tie their values to their purchases, so we foresee continued growth for our program!” -Andrew Hall, Co-Founder.
Mealshare is a non-profit changing the world. Buy a Mealshare branded menu item at a partner restaurant, and they provide a meal to a youth in need. It’s that simple! Buy one, give one. Meals are provided locally through KidSafe and Breakfast Club of Canada and internationally through Save the Children. There is no added cost to the customer.
Mealshare was started in July 2013, and is based out of Vancouver and run by three young entrepreneurs. Currently, Mealshare is partnered with over 250 restaurants across 8 cities, and has provided over 750,000 meals to those in need.
