Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: how did they meet and what's with the stache?
How did the two meet, and what's with the fake stache? According to Gossip Teen, Justin Bieber has been moustache-dreaming for a while. JB showed enthusiasm way back when he grew it, err, drew it on himself by using a black marker to doodle a line above his top lip.
Teen Daily reported that Bieber "showed off a drawn-on moustache on December 2, 2010, as he left the Porte Des Indes restaurant in London." And at the time, he even took the idea to Twitter, setting a trend: #stacheswaggin.
Looking at the top YouTube video, with his Twitter photo, he seems to be into the pencil mustache, but maybe he should try a Walrus or a Horseshoe? (Different styles of moustaches are explained here).
But Selena Gomez, popstar and Bieber's rumoured girlfiend (Ooooh...), likes her man's face smooth. Recently, Gomez was questioned on the subject on the Morning Mash Up radio show. When Rick Dees, co-host, asked if she ecouraged the moustache, she said, "[she] actually [didn't]." And she's not into soul patches either (a bit of facial hair under lower lip).
But after reading Bang Showbiz News, Gomez is not writing the facial fuzz totally off.: "No…I like it. You’ve got to commit [to growing a mustache]. You can’t just be like, ‘Let me now do a little one,'" she said, laughing.
Who says a good moustache wouldn't do Biebs some good? While it seems to be on wait, he has no problem taking it into his own hands and trying it out by putting a fake one to the face. This shows determination.
They said Biebs always acted years above his age.
But how did Bieber and Gomez meet?
While at last night's Late Show with David Letterman, perezhilton.com reported on Gomez's answer to the question: "Bieb's manager actually called her mom, who's also her manager, to set up a meeting between the two."
Bang Showbiz reported that the "star won't confirm whether she and Justin are in a relationship or not but was happy to admit that she is close to him because he 'understands' the pressures of fame."
"She told US talk show host David Letterman: 'I'm blushing! He's been in my life for so long and it's just nice to have someone that understands what you're going through.'"- perezhilton.com
Our office seems to agree with Gomez. Jocelyn Gollner opined: "He seems too young for that." Nireesha Prakash said that "it takes away from his baby face appeal" that teen girls love so much.
