Blake V.L. Elliott, Jr. (pictured above), sang about sin and redemption as he joined a line up of gospel singers, at a fund-raiser for Vancouver Dream Centre last night at St. Andrews-Wesley United Church. Hosted by Denis Simpson and featuring performances by Candace Churchill, Sibel Thrasher and more, the event raised money for the centre's programmes that are aimed at "ending homelessness, one person at a time," Simpson said.
Elliott sang a song about Christian faith remaining strong until "hell freezes over," backed up by pre-recorded music.
Thrasher got the audience rocking in the church pews to her rendition of "This Little Light of Mine."
