Elsie Rybak goes missing

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s assistance in their search for an elderly woman who was last seen by a neighbour in the 4300 block Atlin Street just after noon on Tuesday, September 7th.

Elsie Rybak is 85 years old and in good health. She enjoys walking every day and does not drive, preferring to take transit. An extensive search of the local area, businesses, hospitals, and transit has failed to turn up any sign of Elsie. Mrs. Rybak frequents the Trout Lake area, Renfrew Park and the 22nd and 29th Ave Skytrain stations.

She is white, 5'2", and is described as having a medium build. She has dyed blonde, wavy shoulder length hair and wears eyeglasses. It is unknown what she was last wearing.

Vancouver Police are asking anyone who sees Elsie Rybak to call 9-1-1 and wait with her until police arrive.
